Cloud Computing

Cloud ComputingWhat is a cloud? There are many definitions, but business promises of cloud computing include cost savings, flexibility, on-demand capacity, Software as a Service (SaaS), self provisioning, and charge-back based on the actual use and consumption of resources. When fully mature, cloud computing will facilitate the ability for businesses to launch new business models much faster and to tear those models down or change them at a much greater rate of speed. Perhaps the greatest promise of cloud computing is the ability to use the very best IT resources only when they are needed and necessary. This “utility” element of cloud computing promises to create an IT operational model that is dramatically more efficient than what is used today.

Building Private Clouds

Most organizations today are in the process of building private clouds and implementing many of the promises of cloud computing for their own organizations. Most organizations desire to implement and validate these business models and prove to themselves that they can in fact use these benefits in a secure, efficient and reliable way. Today, building a Private cloud is state of the art. The same goals of flexibility, capacity on demand, self provisioning, charge-back and others can be realized, but their implementation is within the prevue and management of the organization. Zunesis is uniquely qualified to help organizations develop a strategy for building their own Private Cloud through the use of virtualization, automation, and IT management tools.
