Solution Architect (SA) – Storage

Zunesis is looking for a strong pre-sales engineer for our storage practice. This position will be located in the Denver area. This individual should have the following skills and traits:

  1. Strong Storage and backup Technical Expertise.
  2. Extrovert with Sales skills.
  3. Capable of technical discussions and driving architecture design.
  4. Ability to deliver on the Zunesis defined Professional Services.
  5. Initiative & Passion for driving business results.

The primary responsibilities include the following:

  1. Provide presales consulting support for Zunesis Account Managers.
  2. Deliver Zunesis Professional Services as they relate to storage and backup.
  3. Develop additional storage and backup service offerings and deliverables.
  4. Evangelize the product offerings both within and outside the organization.

Specific requirements of the position include:

  • Provide technical presales support for Zunesis Account Managers in current and developing Zunesis accounts by developing and presenting the infrastructure solutions Zunesis offers to its customers.
  • General knowledge in server, storage, networking, virtualization, backup, and Microsoft product/solutions areas and expert status in targeted solution areas (i.e., virtualization or networking) with thorough knowledge of the competitive landscape.
  • Build and maintain strong “trusted advisor” relationships with customers.
  • The ability to develop technical solution roadmaps supporting client business goals and initiatives.
  • Create and/or lead the creation of detailed configurations and solutions in support of customer business initiatives.
  • Provide architecture design & consultation in support of Zunesis core technical competencies.
  • Possess strong customer communication skills.
  • Provide support for extended evaluations and Proof-of-Concept. Support includes installation, integration, tuning & performance testing.
  • Deliver solution updates and presentations.
  • Develop Statement of Work proposals for Zunesis Professional Services engagements.
  • Provide delivery on Zunesis Professional Services engagements.
  • Maintain ongoing relationship with representatives in like positions at key partners such as Hewlett-Packard, CommVault, EMC and Microsoft.
  • A Zunesis SA may be called upon by management to lead specific additional tasks including, but not limited to, developing and maintaining relationships with key partners, representing the company to various manufacturer’s on industry related councils/events, as determined appropriate and necessary.

Job Classification:  The Zunesis SA is an Exempt Salaried position that includes a base salary and incentive plan that is based on achieving actual objective results.  The Zunesis SA is not eligible for overtime pay.   The Zunesis SA is eligible for all Zunesis benefits (health, dental, STD, LTD, 401K), Paid Time Off (PTO) and the Zunesis holiday schedule.

Technologies: The primary storage related technologies we support are HP Storage, EMC, CommVault and Veeam.   There are several other technologies you must have an awareness including SAN Switching, iSCSI, and other storage offerings.  Certifications in these areas are a plus.

  1. Expertise in Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory,  HyperV, Exchange 2010, the System Center suite, Citrix XenApp and Citrix XenDesktop.  Microsoft SharePoint expertise is a plus.

The primary responsibilities include the following:

  1. Provide presales consulting support for Zunesis Account Managers.
  2. Deliver Zunesis Professional Services as they relate to networking and security.
  3. Provide input into the development of the networking and security service offerings and deliverables.
  4. Evangelize the product offerings both within and outside the organization.
  5. Primary contact for networking and security product suite.

Required Skills/Experience:

* 5+ years experience selling hardware and software solutions within the datacenter.
* Experience managing the sales cycle from business champion to the CEO/CFO level.
* Ability to manage multiple transactions within Enterprise Accounts
* Consistent performance of sales and sales growth within large commercial accounts
* Track record of over-achievement.
* Strong written and verbal communications skills.
* Experienced in managing and closing complex sales opportunities.
* Strong computer skills, including CRM, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
* 4 year college degree.
