IT Transformation’s Place in IT

Recent News

"Lets face it, with the dynamic nature of the world of technology there are bound to be problems. The question is, how does your vendor handle those situations. Justin and the gang at Zunesis have really shown what customer service can be like. They treat their clients like friends rather than just customers (...and not just while they are trying to win your business initially but, ongoing!). They look out for our specific needs, they are always quick with alternatives and they always strive to find the best solution possible. In an era that has been defined by plummeting customer service, Zunesis has been a shining light and has saved us countless hours across the board. The dedication and follow through that Zunesis has exhibited in helping us with our projects has truly been above and beyond. Many thanks to Justin and the gang @ Zunesis!"

Thanks,

Two compelling forces drive most IT organizations Zunesis counts among its customers:

  • Consolidation and virtualization
  • Movement to a shared services model

These forces are part of “IT Transformation”…vital shifts, working in conjunction, from current state to a lower-cost, business-oriented model for IT operations.

The elegance of Transformation is that shared services commence with consolidation and virtualization of IT assets and operations…which is where we can help.

Transformation Roadmap
Let’s…you and Zunesis…get to work. A roadmap exists between current state and a model for IT that delivers a “services catalog” to its customers. A shared services model for IT entails a consolidated, standardized environment proven to be significantly lower-cost than current operations, on the order of 30-50%. All IT organizations deliver projects, such as technology refresh, virtualization, and consolidation – all perfect starting points of the roadmap to shared services. It’s the planned chronology and leveraging of these projects that delivers progress towards shared services, a chronology often lost to pressures of daily operations and urgency of projects delivered without a roadmap.

A depiction of the roadmap is shown to the right, highlighting the major steps to prepare infrastructure and applications to deliver low-cost, image_roadmapservice-level offerings to internal and external customers. Key roadmap characteristics are that, because of planful execution of each step, tactical execution of each project progresses IT towards its vision. Without the roadmap, experience shows that projects are largely reactive and disjointed. With the roadmap, projects move an organization linearly towards an objective and, as a bonus, most often address the same problems to which IT would react…a double benefit.

Go ahead, see for yourself what the steps along the roadmap can do for your organization by clicking on the graphic below…services that Zunesis can deliver enterprise-wide or for targeted environments, as an integrated member of your teams with minimal impact on your valuable time and resources. Of course, you will have to provide the last step of the roadmap, the vision of where we can help you arrive.

Conclusion
Transformation, defined by movement to a shared services model for IT and employing consolidation and virtualization, is driving costs out of IT and changing the working model between IT and business units. Savings are substantial, enabled by executing the roadmap between current and future states. The roadmap can commence from any starting point. Expertise, time, tools, and resources are required to execute the roadmap, which is where Zunesis can assist. But, the payoffs and returns are significant and worth the effort and investment. The call to action: construct the map and start. Call Zunesis.
